Our Organization

Creating a data culture that thrives builds from our relationships with people and the ability to be transparent about when and how we use data. We see the connections between funding and accountability, fiscal health and student achievement, people and technology.

Our team creates awareness of state data policies and timelines, encourages regional leadership, cultivates local best practices, and builds a variety of tools and modern software to support the larger statewide educational data ecosystem.

CSIS Leadership

Our leaders create a purposeful working environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

A Little History

The California Legislature created CSIS under AB 107, chaptered August 18, 1997, to build the capacity of local educational agencies to implement and maintain comparable, effective and efficient pupil information systems that will support their daily program needs, assist them in improving the outcomes of pupils and promote the use of information for educational decision making by school site, district office and county staff.
