Starting in 2026, LEAs will be eligible for Differentiated Assistance (DA) based on CALPADS data quality. Persistent and routinely cited data quality challenges at California’s LEAs center on siloed work and a lack of coordinated, enterprise-wide data governance.
This program provides actionable strategies to help leaders implement the structures, policies, and accountability needed to elevate data quality in CALPADS and across the enterprise.
The Data Governance Academy consists of three sessions offered in five regions throughout California. Session 1 will take place in October 2025.
In-person and watch party site registration is currently available for session 1.
Virtual attendance is limited to Watch Party Sites.
To register as a Watch Party Site, select “Webinar” as the Participation Type in your registration form.
Each Watch Party Site is responsible for maintaining local individual registration, a sign-in sheet, and assigning a session facilitator.
Individuals wishing to attend virtually can locate a Watch Party Site in their region by emailing mclark@fcmat.org.
