Project Manager

Salary & Benefits

$5,560 – $6,735 per month. Maximum entry level is $6,118 per month. Holiday, sick leave and vacation benefits are provided. Prepaid medical, dental, vision and counseling plans provided for employee and family. Prepaid life insurance policy provided for the employee. Employees of this office are not covered by Social Security, but do have mandatory retirement coverage with Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).

This position is located in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and coordinate project management tools, practices and documentation to ensure timely and successful outcomes to CSIS projects.
  • Assist Chief Operations Officer and other program managers with continual service improvement and strategic planning.
  • Implement and maintain program-level management practices such as project scheduling and tracking, project coordination and reporting, risk analysis and reporting, and program communications to the CSIS Chief Operations Officer, other CSIS managers and staff, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage and process CSIS Project Awards, Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposal (RFP), including processing and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business, communications or related field desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMI) certification preferred.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), v.3 and Agile Scrum Master training preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of management experience in project and staff operations.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and make recommendations for service improvements based upon that analysis.
  • Ability to facilitate groups and assist in problem identification and resolution in a manner consistent with program and project goals and objectives.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple project areas and entities.
  • Considerable knowledge of project management issues and concepts.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodology preferred.

Conditions of Employment

Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and possess a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. This position is overtime exempt and has a probationary period of one year.
