$6,272 – $7,602 per month. Maximum entry level is $6,904 per month. Sick leave accrued from another California K-14 public educational agency in the State of California may be transferred to the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office. Fourteen holidays are observed as paid days each fiscal year. Generous vacation and sick leave benefits are provided. Employees of this office are not covered by Social Security, but do have mandatory retirement coverage with Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). This position is an overtime exempt classified position.
The CSIS Programmer/Analyst is responsible to the CSIS Information Systems Director, and is expected to work as a technical team member contributing to a wide variety of tasks. These tasks include systems analysis, software development, deployment and maintenance of computer code and procedures.
Provide timely and accurate reporting of CSIS technical issues to the CSIS Information Systems Architect, and as directed to key stakeholders and other entities.
Serve as a cooperative and contributing member of the CSIS program office team.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Education requires graduation from an accredited two-year college or university with a major in computer science, information technologies, or a related field. Work experience resulting in an equivalent knowledge base may be substituted for the major requirement.
A minimum of two years experience in .NET.
Desirable experience includes: two or more years experience in software development for large scale, enterprise database and data warehouse applications; two or more years experience in client-server and/or server based applications.

This position requires vehicle ownership and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license. Applicant must show proof of privately owned automobile insurance. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. This position has a probationary period of six months or 130 days in paid service, whichever is longer.
