California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS)

CSIS provides services in support of the California Department of Education's (CDE) administration of the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS), including support and training for local education agencies (LEAs) as part of the CSIS core program mission to build local capacity.

CALPADS is a statewide system that stores individual-level longitudinal data on students and district/school certificated staff. CALPADS is used by LEAs to collect, maintain and report  information on pupil assessments, enrollment, student and teacher assignments, courses and program participation data as well as data related to graduation and dropout rates for state and federal reporting.

CALPADS provides LEAs with:

  • Access to longitudinal data and reports on their own students
  • Immediate access to information on new students, such as the students’ program participation, English learner (EL) statuses and assessment scores
  • An efficient means for meeting state and federal reporting requirements

Additional CALPADS requirements and training information can be obtained from the Quick Links.
